Boise State Volleyball Signs Brittany Reardon in Early Signing Period

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State's volleyball program and first year head coach Shawn Garus are pleased to announce the signing of Brittany Reardon to the 2010-2011 Bronco Volleyball roster. Reardon, who is the first signee under Garus, committed in the early signing period in November 2009.

The 6-foot, 1-inch Stayton, Ore., native will be a great addition to the Bronco lineup as a middle blocker. Reardon was a four-year member of the Stayton High School volleyball team where she was also a three-year starter and captain of the team as a senior. She has aided the Eagles to four state tournament appearances where they advanced to the second round each time.

Reardon was named as the Capital League Player of the Year as a senior as well as earning two All-Capital League First Team honors and one second-team honor in her career. As a senior she was also named Athlete of the Week by the Salem Statesman Journal as well as being named to the Oregon 4A All-State First Team. While at Stayton High School, she was twice-named team "Offensive MVP" the team's "Most Improved" once.

Playing club volleyball the past three seasons, Reardon has spent time with the Mid-Valley Volleyball Club and the Portland Volleyball Club as a senior. In her final season with Mid-Valley Volleyball Club, Reardon helped her team to the 2008 Junior Olympic Tournament in Dallas, Texas.

While at Stayton High School, she was a member of the Eagles' track and field team as a junior while also being named to the SHS Honor Roll as a freshman and junior.
