Nobley Named MW Offensive POW

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Boise State junior Sierra Nobley has been named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week for matches played Nov. 14-23. Nobley led Boise State to three victories over Colorado State, Wyoming and Air Force as the Broncos clinched the conference championship and the automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. This Nobley’s third player of the week honor of the year and the eighth of her career.


Nobley’s Highlights From Last Week

  • On the week Nobley scored 62 points on 54 kills, four service aces and eight block assists … she hit 24.8 percent converting on 54 of 133 attack attempts.
  • She averaged 4.91 kills, 0.36 aces, 2.0 digs and 0.73 blocks
  • In the win over CSU she led Boise State from one set down to defeat the Rams in five …. Nobley recorded her 16th double-double of the season with a team-high 21 kills to go with 13 digs ... The junior from Scottsdale, Ariz., also recorded a team-high three service aces to go with two block assists.
  • Versus Colorado State she put the first set away by recording eight of her kills during the period including the final point … she led the Broncos back in the fourth set with two kills and three service aces and a block … in the fifth set she had a team-high four kills with one block to lead the Broncos to the win.
  • At Wyoming it was the Sierra Nobley show for Boise State … She led the team in kills during all three sets and was the only Bronco in double-figure kills in the match with 19 to go with three blocks. 
  • She recorded eight of her kills against the Cowgirls in the first set when the Broncos rallied from five down to claim the win. Tied at 20 all in set one, Boise State put the period away with a 5-0 run, two points came off Nobley kills ... Nobley recorded six more kills in a back and forth second set that had seven ties and five lead changes… The third set saw Nobley continue her intensity recording five kills and three blocks in the four-point set victory. 
  • In the win versus Air Force she had a team-high 14 kills while hitting 34.4 percent with one ace and four block assists for a team-high 16.5 points.
  • Nobley recorded a team-high seven kills in the first set and had a team-best four in the third set to go with two blocks to help put the match away.
