BOISE, Idaho Boise State University setter Mandy Klein was named the Western Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, Monday, marking the first time in her career that she has won the award.
The Boise, Idaho (Timberline) native, led the Broncos to victories over Utah State (3-1) and Nevada (3-1), and a close loss against Hawai'i.
With 54 assists against the Rainbow Wahine on Nov. 15, Klein set a career high in a four-game match and posted what was at the time her second-highest total of the season. Klein then led the Broncos in hitting percentage (.333) against Utah State on Nov. 16, and with 57 assists, set another career high for a four-game match.
