THIS WEEK FOR THE BRONCOS
  • Boise State (20-7, 12-3 MW) has a split schedule this week traveling to play at Air Force (11-19, 4-11 MW) on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. (Mountain), then returns home to host New Mexico (15-13, 8-7 MW) Saturday.
  • Boise State closes the regular season by hosting two of its final three matches. 

At Air Force; Wednesday, Nov. 12
  • The Broncos open the week on the road at Air Force on Wednesday night. 
  • This is the first and only meeting between the two this year.
  • The Falcons have lost four straight matches including a pair on the road last week at Fresno State (3-0) and UNLV (3-0) ... they are 11-19 overall and 4-11 in league.
  • Akokwe Clement leads AFA with 436 kills for a 3.82 per set average (3rd MW) ... Taylor Parker hits a team-best 32 percent (8th MW).
  • As a team Air Force hits 20 percent (6th MW) and averages 12.51 kills per set (7th MW).
  • The Broncos lead the series 8-2, but Air Force has won the last two in Colorado.

New Mexico; Saturday, Nov. 21
  • TICKET PROMOTION: Food Drive Night, Fans get in for $3 win donating canned food at the door.
  • The week’s action continues on Saturday against New Mexico at 2 p.m. in Bronco Gym. 
  • This is the first and only meeting between the two this year.
  • New Mexico enters the week at 15-13 overall and 8-7 in MW play ... the Lobos host Utah State on Wednesday before traveling to Boise.
  • UNM is 1-3 over the last two weeks and split on the road this past weekend falling at UNLV (3-2) before rallying to defeat Fresno State (3-0).
  • Devanne Sours leads the Lobos in kills with 317 for a 3.02 per set average (9th MW) ... Simone Henderson is hitting a team-best 33.7 percent (6th MW).
  • As a team New Mexico hits 21.8 percent (3rd MW) and averages 12.53 kills per set (4th MW).
  • New Mexico leads the series 8-1.

NCAA Bubble Watch
  • Boise State remained at No. 45 in this week’s NCAA RPI keeping them in the discussion for a potential NCAA Tournament at-large bid ... they still need help, but the Broncos are in the conversation.
  • At No. 45 the Broncos rank second in the MW behind Colorado State at No. 28.
  • Six of the seven Broncos’ losses have come to teams ranked in the top-55: Washington No. 6, Colorado State No. 28 (twice), Wyoming No. 49, Northern Arizona No. 41, Idaho State No. 56 ... Gonzaga is at No. 81.
  • Boise State defeated No. 39 Northwestern.

Bronco Wins Analysis
  • Boise State has won 20 matches this year, 12 by 3-0 sweeps ... 12-3 overall in three set contests.
  • The Broncos are 4-3 in four-set matches and 4-1 in five-sets. 

Shawn Garus, Head Coach
  • Garus currently sits at 229-219 overall in his 15-year career as a collegiate head coach.
  • Garus is currently 114-99 at Boise State in his seventh season.
  • Garus hit the 100 win milestone at Boise State when the Broncos defeated Abilene Christian 3-0 on Sept. 12.
  • Garus ranks second in total wins in program history, out of 10 coaches all-time.

Team Statistical Rankings
  • For the first time in program history the Broncos lead the nation in two statistical categories, kills and assists per set. 
  • They average 15.54 kills per set (1st MW), which would be a school record if season was over ... they finished last year ranked 17th in NCAA at 14.21 kps.
  • Boise State dishes out 14.55 assists per set (1st MW), another potential school record if the season was over ... the Broncos were 15th nationally at the end of 2014 at 13.25.
  • Hitting percentage of .282 leads the MW and is 11th nationally ... they finished 2014 ranked 24th nationally at .263, a school record. 

Nobley Sets New School Kills Record
  • The sophomore outside hitter currently has 448 kills this season setting a newschool record for kills in a season.
  • The previous school record for kills in a season was 438 set by Sharon Leonhardt (1983-86) 30 years ago in 1986. 

Boise State’s Set Win Streak Reaches 15
  • Boise State has won 15 consecutive sets dating from Oct. 29 at Fresno State.
  • The Broncos have not lost a set since they rallied from two down at Fresno State to win in five.

Match Win Streak Grows to Six
  • Boise State has six straight contests for the second time this season.

Broncos Have Recorded 12 Sweeps
  • The 12 wins by sweep are the most during the rally scoring era for Boise State and the most since 1992 when the Broncos finished with 12.
  • The school record is 24 set during the 1981 season.

Broncos Get No. 20
  • Boise State is 20-7 overall earning its 10th 20-plus win season in program history.
  • The Broncos have recorded 20 or more wins twice under coach Garus, the last time was 2010 when they finished 21-12.

Most League Wins Since Joining MW
  • Boise State’s 12 Mountain West wins this year are the most for the Broncos since joining the league for 2011.
  • The 12 conference wins are the most by the program since 1989 when the Broncos went 13-3 in the Big Sky Conference.
