Nobley Named MW Offensive POW

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (11/16/2015 - Boise State sophomore Sierra Nobley has been named the Mountain West Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for matches played Nov. 9-15. Nobley led Boise State to a home sweep over San Diego State and Nevada last week as the Broncos improved to 20-7 overall and 12-3 in league play, good for second place. This is the fourth time this year that Nobley has been named the MW Offensive Player of the Week and Boise State's eighth player of the week honor overall for 2015.


Nobley's Highlights From Last Week

  • Nobley led Boise State to home sweep over San Diego State and Nevada as the Broncos extended their win streak to six, including four straight by 3-0 sweeps. 
  • She averaged 12.5 kills per match and 4.17 per set while hitting 42 percent ... hitting percentage was 16 percent better than season percentage of .257. 
  • Nobley also averaged 5.33 points per set which is better than her 5.15 season pps season average.
  • Recorded a team-high 14 kills while hitting a season-best 52 percent against San Diego State and added seven digs, one assist, one service ace and two blocks.
  • In the Broncos' sweep over Nevada on Saturday, Nobley recorded a team-high 11 kills while hitting 32 percent.
  • She also tied her career-high for service aces with five versus the Wolf Pack, in addition to two assists and nine digs.
  • Nobley's 11 kills against Nevada gave her 448 on the season which set a new school record for kills in a season ... the previous record of 438 stood for 30 years after being set in 1986 by Sharon Leonhardt.
