MOSCOW, Idaho - In their final match of the regular season, the Boise State volleyball team fell to cross-state rival Idaho in four games with scores of 30-23, 23-30, 26-30 and 26-30, Saturday.
Jeanette Jenkins led the attack for the Broncos, tallying 17 kills and hitting .229 (17-6-48) on the night. Adding to the offensive front was Alisha King, who notched 12 kills of her own and hit .233 (12-2-43).
Senior Tiffany Starring recorded her second double-double of the season as she recorded 10 kills and 15 digs on the night. Junior Mandy Klein continued to se the pace for Boise State as she notched 51 assists against the Vandals and hit a team-high .312 (5-0-16).
Defensively, the Broncos had four players in double digit digs with Lauren Hamm leading the way as she tied her career-high 32, while Starring tallied 15, Jamie Claussen notched 12 and teammate Jeanene Rose recorded 11 of her own.
Up next for the Broncos is the Western Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces, N.M., and will take place Nov. 15-17. The Broncos will take on No. 9 seeded Louisiana Tech, Thurs., Nov. 15 at 9:30 a.m.
