Bronco Volleyball Signs Recruit

BOISE, Idaho Boise State University volleyball head coach Robin Davis announced the signing of Alisha King to a National Letter of Intent, Wednesday.

King, an American Fork, Utah, native, was named American Fork High School’s most valuable player following a season in which she led the squad to a fifth place finish at the State championship tournament. King also competed for the High Country Volleyball Club of Salt Lake City.

“Alisha was at the top of our list since we got here in April,” Davis said. “(Assistant coach) Doug English and I had the chance to watch her play and we knew she was the outside hitter that we wanted for this program from day one. Her club coaches at High Country were great in helping us get her here, and we couldn’t imagine a better fit for this program.”

The senior co-captain garnered all-valley honors last season, and all-region honors each of the last two seasons. King was also named team MVP last year.

“Boise State is picking up a great player,” American Fork High School head coach Chad Murray said. “She has learned to be a great leader, she loves the game and she is an all-around great person. We are going to have some big shoes to fill on this team next season.”
