CHENEY, Wash. - Despite it’s best efforts to stay on pace with Eastern Washington, the Boise State volleyball team fell to the Eagles in three with scores of 17-30, 17-30 and 25-30, Thursday.
Teammates Jeanette Jenkins and Sadie Maughan led the attack for the Broncos with seven kills each, with Maughan posting a team-high hitting percentage of .286 (7-3-14). Junior setter Mandy Klein set the pace for Boise State, notching 26 assists on the night.
Defensively, freshman Lauren Hamm led the team with seven digs, followed by senior Tiffany Starring with six and Jamie Claussen with five. Starring also recorded a pair blocks, while Klein added two of her own.
The Broncos now drive through the rolling hill of the Palouse to take on conference foe, Idaho, to close out the regular season, Saturday, at 7 p.m.
