Volleyball Looks to Extend Win Streak In Bronco Gym Following Football on Saturday

► What's Happening - Boise State has a slower week of volleyball this week with only one match scheduled. The Broncos (4-18, 4-6 WAC) stay at home for the week and host Western Athletic Conference opponent Louisiana Tech on Saturday, Oct. 31. The match is slated for 7 p.m. in Bronco Gym. Fans are encouraged to piggy-back the volleyball match with the football game and head to Bronco Gym after the football game is over.

► Record Watch - A few Broncos are edging their way into the Boise State school record books with junior Sadie Maughan leading the way. Maughan has taken over the No. 4 spot in total career points scored (since the inception of rally scoring in 2001) with 731.0 total points. Alisha Young also ranks in the same category, holding the No. 6 spot with 669.5 career points. Lauren Hamm takes over the No. 10 spot in the all-time career digs category with 979 so far. She knocked out Sharon Leonhardt (1983-86) on her way into the top-10 and will aim for Chris Bond's (1987-90) mark of 1,010 to move into the No. 9 spot.

Some marks to keep an eye on include Maughan's total career blocks number. She is nearing the top-10 all-time with 267 so far through her career. The No. 10 spot is 282 total blocks.

► In General - The Broncos have turned their WAC season around earning three straight home court wins over Idaho, Utah State and Nevada. The later of the two were 3-0 sweeps, the only sweep wins they've had all season. The Broncos currently are sixth in the WAC standings.

► Quick Look at the Broncos - The Broncos are led by junior Sadie Maughan in kills (209) and hitting percentage (.251) as well as blocks (89) and points (259.0). Breann Nesselhuf leads the team with 648 assists this season, while Jeanene Rose has had 19 service aces and Amanda Remy 241 digs to lead the Broncos.

An Overview: Boise State vs. Louisiana Tech...
► The Series - The series between Boise State and Louisiana Tech sits at a 13-2 advantage for the Broncos all-time dating to the 1998 season. The Broncos have also won the last four meetings, including their most recent match on Nov. 8, 2008 in a three set sweep in Bronco Gym. This is the first meeting between the Broncos and Lady Techsters this season.
► About Louisiana Tech - The Lady Techsters sit one spot ahead of the Broncos in the WAC standings at No. 5 with a 14-12 (4-6 WAC) record. Most recently, La Tech has earned two wins over San Jose State (3-1) and Fresno State (3-0) in Ruston, La. The team is led by Nataliya Panova with 209 kills while Bianca Bin leads in assists (717). Kassia Pinto has tallied 18 service aces on the season to lead the team while Lori Hunsucker leads the team in digs with 350. Kara Jones is the team leader in blocks with 102 (27 solo) while Panova leads in points (246.0) and Jones is close behind with 240.5.
