Broncos Fall to Nevada in Four Games

BOISE, Idaho It was another strong start for the Boise State volleyball team as they opened the match with a win in game one, before falling to Nevada, 1-3.

While the Broncos out blocked the Wolf Pack, Nevada took the match with scores of 30-28, 27-30, 22-30, 19-30.

Leading the attack for the Broncos was sophomore Arlee Tamietti and junior Jeanette Jenkins, who both tallied 12 kills a piece, while junior Robyn Hewitt led the team with a hitting percentage of .250 (4-2-8).

Senior Tiffany Starring let her presence be known on the floor as she notched three aces against the Wolf Pack.

The defense was led by the freshmen dynamic duo of Sadie Maughan and Lauren Hamm. Maughan tallied an impressive eight blocks while Hamm notched 26 digs.

After having a weekend series at home, the Broncos return to the road next week to take on New Mexico State, Thursday, Sept. 27 followed by Louisiana Tech, Saturday, Sept. 29.
