DENVER - Boise State senior middle blocker Sadie Maughan has been named Western Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 13-19. This is the first-ever WAC Player of the Week honor for Maughan and only fourth-ever WAC volleyball honor by a Bronco.
The Murray, Utah (Murray HS) native, was named MVP of the NFINITY Wildcat Classic last weekend after leading the Broncos to the tournament title with wins over High Point, Eastern Michigan and host Davidson. Maughan hit a blazing .638 with 3.40 kills and 1.10 blocks per set over the three matches. Against Eastern Michigan, she tallied 12 kills on .733 hitting. Maughan followed it up with 13 kills on a school-record and WAC season-high .867 hitting to go with seven blocks vs. Davidson. Boise State is now 12-2 on the season, its best start since 2004.

Hawai'i's Elizabeth Ka'aihue averaged 5.17 digs and 0.50 service aces in a pair of wins over Brigham Young ... Kelsey Taylor of Idaho was named to the all-tournament team at the Gonzaga Tournament after averaging 2.33 kills on .338 hitting, 1.08 blocks and 0.83 digs per set ... Louisiana Tech's Taylor Fritz averaged 2.83 kills and 2.42 digs en route to all-tournament team honors at the Nicholls Challenge last weekend ... Grace Anxo of Nevada averaged 2.95 points, 2.40 kills and 1.80 digs per set ... New Mexico State's Kayleigh Giddens averaged 4.33 kills and 2.60 digs per set over four matches last week ... Hanah Blume of San Jose State was named to the all-tournament team at the UNLV Classic after averaging 3.20 kills and 1.50 digs last week ... Utah State's Christine Morrill averaged 4.79 digs and 0.58 assists as the Aggies went 3-1 last week.
