Broncos Drop Conference Home Opener To Fresno State

BOISE, Idaho After taking the first two games of the match, the Boise State volleyball team fell to Fresno State in their conference home opener 2-3, Thrusday.

The Broncos stayed on pace with the Bulldogs before dropping the final three games posting scores of 30-28, 32-30, 17-30, 27-30, 5-15.

Leading the offensive attack for the Broncos was sophomore Arlee Tamietti with 22 kills while notching 15 digs to record her second double-double of the season.  Adding to the attack was setter Mandy Klein who tallied a season-high 56 assists and led the Broncos with a hitting percentage of .273 (5-2-11).

Defensively, freshman Sadie Maughan recorded five blocks on the night while teammates Lauren Hamm and Tiffany Starring tallied 12 and 10 digs respectively.

The Broncos now prepare for their match against conference foe Nevada, Saturday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m.
