Bronco Volleyball Goes 1-1 on the Weekend in Final Prep for WAC Opener.

The Oregon Ducks kept their undefeated volleyball record going with a 30-12, 30-21, 30-28 victory over the host Boise State Broncos Saturday in the final match of the Boise State Invitational (Sept. 16). The Ducks (9-0) placed Erin Little and Kristen Bitter on the all-tournament team. Bitter was named the tournament MVP. Boise State was represented by Jackie Stroud and Arlee Tamietti on the all-tournament team. Gonzaga had Becky Jones and Elaina Renius named to the all-tournament team.

In the Oregon match, Tamietti had 11 kills and two blocks. Stroud, against Oregon, had 15 digs.

In the Broncos match against Gonzaga, the Broncos won in three games early Saturday afternoon - 30-26, 30-26, 30-28. Boise State was led by Jeanette Jenkins' 18 kills. Cameron Flunder and Arlee Tamietti each had 13 kills. Mandy Klein had 48 assists and three service aces. The Broncos next play Oregon (8-0) at 5 p.m. in Bronco Gym.Gonzaga was led by Becky Jones' 15 kills. Heather Dunn had 38 assists and 10 digs.

Boise State opens its Western Athletic Conference season next week with a road trip to Louisiana Tech and New Mexico State this coming week.
