The Bronco volleyball team (5-5) will be home Sat., Sept. 16 for only the second time this season in hosting a final preconference tournament of 2006. The Broncos will then play Gonzaga Saturday (Sept. 16) at 12:30 p.m., and after a short break will return to play Oregon at 5 p.m. All three matches will be played in Bronco Gym. Tickets are $5 for an adult ticket and $3 for a junior ticket each day. (Boise State students with a valid ID card will get in free.) Friday evening, Oregon defeated Gonzaga 3-0.
Gonzaga, of the West Coast Conference, is 4-8 overall, with wins over Weber State, Gardner-Webb and UMBC. The Zags' losses are to Washington State, North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Connecticut, Portland State and No. 5 Washington.
Gonzaga is led by Briawna Mueller (2.62 kills, 0.93 digs and 1.00 blocks) and Elaina Renius (2.46 kills and 0.85 blocks). The Zags' setter is Heather Dunn (11.48 assists).
The Broncos' second opponent Saturday is the Oregon Ducks from the Pac-10. The Ducks are 7-0 so far this season with their wins over UC-Irvine, Portland State, Long Beach State, Cal State Northridge, Utah State, Utah State, Fresno State and San Diego State.
Oregon is led by Mira Djuric (3.74 kills and 0.85 blocks) and Erin Little (3.70 kills, 1.93 digs and 0.96 blocks). Nevena Djordjevic averages 10.06 assists.

The Boise State team averages 13.76 kills, 12.48 assists, 2.14 aces, 16.39 digs and 2.20 blocks. Boise State's opponents are averaging 14.88 kills, 13.39 assists, 1.52 aces, 16.15 digs and 2.21 blocks.
After a three weekends of play, Cameron Flunder averages 3.27 kills and 0.79 blocks; Jeanette Jenkins is at 3.33 kills; and Kristen Voyson averages 3.0. Mandy Klein averages 9.67 assists per game. Elise Ardron averages 1.00 blocks while Robyn Hewitt is at 0.83. Jackie Stroud averages 4.61 digs and Jamie Claussen backs her up with 2.97 digs per game.
