Boise State home for four matches.
Boise State opens its home schedule this week with four matches in Bronco Gym beginning with Eastern Washington (0-7) at 7:00 p.m. (Mountain Time) Wednesday night.
The Broncos will follow that with the Boise State Invitational Friday and Saturday featuring Southern Utah (3-4), San Jose State (3-3) and UC Irvine (2-5).
Boise State's tournament schedule begins Friday afternoon with Southern Utah at 1:00 p.m. followed by San Jose State at 7:30 p.m. that night.
The competition ends Saturday when the Broncos host future Big West rival UC Irvine at 1:00 p.m.
Boise State enters this week with a 2-4 overall record, all on the road. It has a one match home win streak going in Bronco Gym dating back to last season.
The Broncos enter the week with a winning series record versus three of the four schools and a combined 49-36 mark. Boise State's all-time records against each school are: Eastern Washington (28-25), Southern Utah (1-0), San Jose State (7-15) and UC Irvine (5-4).
2012 Admission Prices - All home matches are held in Bronco Gym. Admission prices to this year's matches are $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for children (high school age or younger), $4.00 for senior citizens, while Boise State students are free with their student I.D. card. For those interested in Boise State's All Sports Pass which includes admission to all sports except football and men's basketball (or any basketball doubleheaders) the price remains the same at $50.00 per person. The sports pass is good for only Boise State events and does not include any conference or NCAA championship events.

Last Week at the Sacramento State Invitational
The Broncos opened the season on the road for six matches including three this past weekend at the Sacramento State Invitational where they went 1-2.
Sophomore Alyssa Gammel and senior Liz Harden led Boise State in the three matches with 41 and 34 kills, respectively. Gammel finished hitting .315 percent while Harden came in at .291 percent, both were named to the all-tournament team.
In the opener against Sacramento State, the Broncos hit .205 percent with 60 kills. Boise State played from behind for most of the match that went down to the wire with two sets decided in extra points 30-32, 24-26, 25-19, 17-25. Gammel recorded 19 kills followed by Taylor Murphey with 11, Brittany Reardon and Liz Harden added 10 each.
The second match was also a hard fought battle before the Broncos fell in three to Saint Mary's (Calif.) 17-25, 25-27, 20-25. Boise State hit .257 percent against the Gaels who countered at .436. Harden led the Broncos hitting .308 percent with 12 kills, Gammel was close behind with 11 kills and a then-season-high hitting percent of .381.
Boise State bounced back for a win later Saturday night when the Broncos defeated the Morgan State Bears in straight sets. Boise State dominated the match hitting a season-high .340 percent with 45 kills while holding the Bears to .167 percent hitting and 29 kills. For the second time that day, Harden led the Broncos with 12 kills hitting a season-high .393 percent, followed again by Gammel with 11 kills and a new-season-high hitting percent of .450.
One the weekend Boise State hit .254 percent with 151 kills, 143 assists, 16 service aces, 138 digs and 17 blocks. The opponents hit .289 percent with 136 kills, 129 assists, 13 aces, 140 digs and 34 blocks.
Sophomore outside hitter Alyssa Gammel, a transfer from Virginia Tech, has been named to back-to-back all-tournament teams at the Northwest Challenge (Aug. 24-25) and the Sacramento State Invitational (Aug. 1-Sept. 1).
Senior outside hitter Liz Harden was named to the Sacramento State Invitational All-Tournament Team (Aug. 1-Sept. 1).
Alyssa Gammel, sophomore outside hitter, leads the Broncos in kills with 83 to rank third in the Mountain West (MW) for kills per set at 3.95. She is hitting .250 percent on the season.
Gammel is fifth in the MW for points per set at 4.21 with a total of 88.5 points in six matches.
Gammel has led the team in kills in four of six matches. Gammel is second in digs on the team with 59.
Liz Harden, a senior outside hitter, is second on the team in kills with 60 for a 2.86 per set average. Harden is hitting .244 percent through six matches.
Brittany Reardon, a redshirt sophomore middle blocker, is ranked sixth in the MW for hitting percent at .369. She also has a team third-best 38 kills and is tied for second in blocks with 12.
Taylor Murphey, sophomore rightside hitter, has 35 kills, hits .224 percent and is tied for second in blocks with 12.
Leah Stevens, junior middle blocker, leads the team in blocks with 13, including a team-best three solos. She is hitting .286 percent with 22 kills.
Casey Rose, junior setter, is ranked ninth in the MW for assists per set at 5.86 and eighth in service aces at 0.33 per set. She has a total of 123 assists and seven aces, both are team highs.
Kersti Whitney, senior libero, leads the team defensively with 85 digs to rank sixth in the MW at 4.05 digs per set.
Sarah Baugh, freshman setter, is second on the team and 10th in the MW for assists per set at 5.24, she has a total of 110 assists to date.
