The Broncos host long-time in-state rival Idaho State Wednesday, Aug. 30 in Bronco Gym. First serve is set for 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door and are $5 for an adult ticket and $3 for a junior ticket. Parking for fans will be free that evening in the General Permit sections (only) between the Bronco Gym and Taco Bell Arena and across to Bronco Stadium. An All-Olympic Sport Season Pass (good for all home events - Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Soccer, Gymnastics, Wrestling - is also available for $50.
Idaho State last weekend opened the 2006 season at a tournament in Central Michigan, going 2-1. The Bengals defeated Wisconsin-Green Bay (3-2) and Indiana State (3-0) and losing a match to Central Michigan (0-3). Idaho State is led by Jessica Gurney (3.09 kills per game). The Bengals' setter, Christine Collette, averaged 9.6 assists.
After hosting Idaho State, the Broncos will travel to Pullman, Wash., to play in the Washington State Tournament. Boise State willplay UC Davis Friday, Sept. 1 at 5 p.m. The Broncos will then play two matches on Saturday, Sept. 2 - playing Washington State at Noon, and then UNLV at 5 p.m.
UC Davis played in a tournament at Cal, going 1-2. The Aggies defeated Montana (3-0) and lost to Baylor (1-3) and Cal (3-0). UC Davis is led by Chantal Paschetta's 4.0 kills per game. Aggie setter, Katelyn Astruc, averages 9.8 assists.
Washington State played at South Dakota State in the first week of play and went 3-1. The Cougars defeated Gonzaga (3-1), North Dakota State (3-0) and Weber State (3-0), before losing to host South Dakota State (1-3). Washington State is led by Adetokunbo Faleti (5.08 kills per game). The Cougars' setter is Corina Beyer (13.42 assists).
UNLV goes into the Washington State Tournament at 2-1 after hosting Cal Poly, Oral Roberts and Oregon State this past weekend. The Rebels defated Oregon State (3-1) and Oral Roberts (3-1) and lost to Cal poly (2-3). UNLV is led by Lauren Miramontes who averages 4.62 kills and setter Melody Nua who averages 13.38 assists.

The Boise State team averages 13.4 kills, 12.3 assists, 2.7 aces, 17.1 digs and 1.4 blocks. After a week of play, Cameron flunder averages 2.7 kills; Jeanette Jenkins is at 3.2 kills; and Arlee Tamietti averages 3.4. Mandy Klein averages 9.7 assists per game.

(08-25-06) The Boise State volleyball team opened 2006 with a three-game loss to South Carolina in the TCU Tournament. The scores were 30-21, 30-24, 30-28. Boise State were led by Tiffany Starring’s 11 kills, Cameron Flunder’s eight kills and Jackie Stroud’s 16 digs.. Mandy Klein had 30 assists. As a team, the Broncos put down 37 kills and had 35 assists, 51 digs and three blocks.
(08-26-06) The Broncos picked up their first win of 2006 with a 30-22, 30-25, 30-14 victory over Loyola (Maryland) in the Broncos' second match of the TCU Tournament. The Broncos were led by Jeanette Jenkins (12 kills) and Cameron Flunder (10 kills). Mandy Klein had 30 assists. Jackie Stroud tallied 14 digs. As a team, Boise State notched 46 kills, 43 assists, 58 digs and six blocks.
(08-26-06) The Boise State volleyball team lost a four-game match to the TCU Horned Frogs in the final match of the TCU Tournament - 30-21, 17-30, 30-24, 30-22. Sophomore setter Mandy Klein was named to the TCU All-Tournament Team. Jeanette Jenkins had 15 kills and Arlee Tamietti back her up with 13. Klein had 37 assists and Jackie Stroud added 20 digs. In the three matches played this weekend, Klein had 14 kills, 97 assists assists and 20 digs. The Broncos as a team had 51 kills and 13 aces.
