Count Down to First Serve: Meet Jaymee-Lee Bulda

BOISE, Idaho - As part of BroncoSports.com's preview of Boise State volleyball we are featuring each player on a 14 day count down to the first serve against Gonzaga at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, in Bronco Gym to start the Northwest Challenge. We are starting with our seniors and working down the list by class.  


Today's Bronco player preview highlights freshman Jaymee-Lee Bulda

Jaymee-Lee is a true freshman from Sacramento, Calif., where she attended Christian Brothers High School. The three-year starter for the varsity team was a three-time all-conference honoree, four-time team MVP and a team captain.

Ten Questions with Jaymee-Lee...

Q: Why did you choose Boise State?

A: I chose Boise State because it's a really good school athletically and academically. When I came to visit everyone was so nice and welcoming and they really made me feel at home.

 

Q: What's been your favorite thing about Boise so far?

A: My favorite thing about Boise so far is hanging out with all the new friends I have met and of course playing volleyball and getting to know my teammates better.

    

Q: What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of volleyball?

A: Some of my favorite hobbies outside of volleyball are: painting, drawing, and soccer. 

    

Q: Which teammate would win at "America's Next Top Model"?

A: Aly Duffin would win Americas next top model. 

   

Q: What song gets you pumped up before a match?

A: Any song with a good beat and makes me want to dance!

   

Q: What is your motto?

A: My motto is, Clear eyes. Full hearts. Can't lose.

   

Q: Who is your hero in life?

A: My hero is my grams because she's the hardest working women I know and always puts others first before herself.

 

Q: If I could spend one day in history it would be with, why that person?

A: If I could spend one day with anyone it would be Abby Wambach (USA soccer player).

 

Q: Who has been the most influential figure in your life so far?

A: The most influential figure in my life so far would have to be my older sister Shawn. I can always count on her for anything and she is my best friend 

 

Q: Looking to the future, what do you want to do in your life beyond college?

A: Beyond college, I still want to be playing volleyball. But I definitely want to work with children. Coming from a huge family I have a lot of nieces and nephews, so when I'm around children they make me happy.
