BOISE, Idaho - The 2016 Mountain West All-Stars completed the 12th European Global Challenge in Pula, Croatia, by taking third place out of the 13-team field from around the world. The All-Stars coached by Boise State’s head coach Shawn Garus and assisted by Colorado State’s Emily Hiza and Nevada’s Vish Djurdjevic went 5-1 during the competition as the Mountain West picked up its third-straight bronze medal in three trips to the European Global Challenge.

Boise State’s lone representative on the team Sierra Nobley was named to the EGC All-Tournament Team for her performance during the four-day competition.

In the quarterfinal round they defeated an American team the BIP Southeast 3-1 to advance. The all-stars then ran into a talented Chinese U19 national team which handed the Mountain West its lone loss of the event a 3-1 defeat in the semifinals late Wednesday.
