The Bronco Roster

The Boise State roster is highlighted by next year's senior class of Liz Harden, Fiona Jones and Kersti Whitney. They are joined by juniors Casey Rose and Leah Stevens, three sophomores-to-be in Kristyn Kirschenman, Taylor Murphey and Brittany Reardon, as well as two redshirt freshman Katelyn Kinghorn and Sarah Webster. Boise State has added two additional players to the roster this spring in transfers Aly Duffin (Georgia Southern) and Alyssa Gammel (Virginia Tech), both are natives of California and will be eligible to play as sophomores next fall.

Recapping Last Friday at Twin Falls

Boise State traveled last Friday to Twin Falls, Idaho, to participate in a three-team tournament hosted by the College of Southern Idaho.  It was a traditional round robin with each match going best of five sets. The Broncos opened with the CSI Eagles defeating the host team 3-2. The second match also went to Boise State as the Broncos defeated the College of Idaho Coyotes 3-0. Boise State is now 5-2-1 in two tournaments this spring.

Broncos that stood out for the coaches last weekend were freshman Sarah Webster, who redshirted last fall, playing at middle blocker and sophomore-to-be Taylor Murphey who is an outside hitter.

"I really think the team is making solid improvement this spring," commented Garus. "These spring competitions allow the players who did not see alot of time previously get the experience they need to work into the lineup next fall. This week I thought that Sarah (Webster) and Taylor (Murphey) really played hard and showed improvement on the court. We are going to need our younger players to step up for us this fall."
