Utah Recruit Signs With Bronco Volleyball Team

BOISE, Idaho Boise State University volleyball Head Coach Robin Davis announced the signing of Sadie Maughan to a National Letter of Intent, Friday.

Maughan, a native of Murray, Utah, led Murray High School to a second place finish at this year’s 4A State Volleyball Tournament. The 6-foot, 4-inch middle blocker averaged 11 kills and five blocks per match en route to being named First Team All-State (4A) and First Team All-Region (Region V).

“Sadie Maughan is a great unknown,” Davis said. “We are so excited to have her at Boise State. I think she has the potential to play right away in the middle for us. What I like most about her is the athletic intelligence she possesses.”

Maughan is the second recruit from Utah that Davis has brought in this season. Alisha King, out of American Fork, Utah, signed with the Broncos during the early signing period.

Each of the future Broncos is currently a major contributor on one of the two most prominent club teams in Utah. Maughan’s Club Utah and King’s High Country square off this Saturday at 1:00 p.m., at Salt Lake City, marking the first time the duo will have the opportunity to meet.
