WHAT THEY SAID
Head Coach Shawn Garus
On the match being like a pendulum . . .
"I think that both teams are pretty evenly matched. We tried a couple new things with not everyone healthy, but I think we gave ourselves a chance to win. I think our young kids played really well to keep us in that match."
On looking ahead to next week . . .
"We actually have a quick turnaround with a game on Tuesday. We need to pick ourselves up and get ready for a tough Utah State team."
On what he took from the match . . .
I just think that we'll try to get better at doing what we do on our side. I don't think our defensive communication was very well, and our blocking was a little bit inconsistent. We'll just keep working to get better."
