LARAMIE, Wyo. (9/24/2015) - Sierra Nobley and Maddy O’Donnell combined for 22 kills to lead Boise State volleyball in a 3-0 loss at 27th-ranked Wyoming to open Mountain West play on Thursday. Nobley had a team-high 12 kills while O’Donnell added 10 kills and six blocks against the Cowgirls. The loss drops Boise State to 8-5 overall and 0-1 in conference play, Wyoming improved to 11-2 and 1-0 in league.

Boise State battled hard but could not catch a break as the Broncos struggled hitting against the Cowgirls. The Blue and Orange rallied numerous times throughout the match but came up short in all three sets. The Broncos trailed 14-7 in the third set, then came back to tie it at 14 all with a 7-0 run. Unfortunately, Wyoming responded taking the lead back and then held off the Broncos to complete the sweep.

Nobley finished the night with 12 kills, two digs and three blocks to lead the Broncos. O’Donnell hit a team-high 31.8 percent for 10 kills to go with her season-tying-high six blocks. Sabryn Roberts added six kills, three digs and three blocks.

Sarah Baugh recorded her sixth double-double of the season on 30 assists and 11 digs, both team highs, to go with one kill, two service aces and one block. Maddi Osburn followed Baugh’s dig total with 10 giving her 13 straight matches in double-digit digs.

The Broncos finished the night with 37 kills, 33 assists, four service aces, 40 digs and seven blocks.

Wyoming was led by Bridget Shanahan with nine kills, followed by Laura Beach who hit 66.7 percent for eight kills to go with a team-high eight blocks.

The Cowgirls hit 26.1 percent for 37 kills, 32 assists, four service aces, 49 digs and 14 blocks.
