Allison Buck joined the Boise State volleyball staff on March 7, 2016. Buck will serve as the second assistant for the indoor team and the lone assistant for the Boise State beach volleyball program. Her duties include assisting with the day-to-day operations of the two programs, travel, on court coaching and assisting with the organization and running of volleyball camps.

PRIOR TO BOISE STATE

Buck comes to Boise State from the University of New Mexico where she played for the Lobos as an undergraduate from 2008-11 and has worked for the last three years as the director of operations.

She brings a wide variety of experience with her to Boise State. As the volleyball director of operations at New Mexico, she oversaw and coordinated administrative functions for the day-to-day operation of the team and program. Buck assisted with student-athlete volunteering and development activities, fiscal and budgetary management, facilities and resources management, NCAA compliance requirements and other special projects as assigned.

Prior to working for her alma mater, Buck had worked in various capacities for the New Mexico Juniors Volleyball Club of Albuquerque. She served as one of the club’s head coaches throughout her collegiate career and continued after graduation. Buck also served as the club’s facilities coordinator from 2012 through 2013, when she was hired by the Lobos volleyball program as the director of operations.

While with the New Mexico Juniors she assisted in teaching youth players the game’s fundamentals and skills; helped organize and coordinate youth summer camps; instructed aspiring volleyball players both on a individual and group basis.

COLLEGIATE PLAYING CAREER

Buck, a native of Camas, Wash., was a standout libero on the Lobo volleyball team from 2008-11, earning a number of accolades her junior and senior season, including American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America honorable mention honors in 2011.

Buck also garnered first-team AVCA All-West Region recognition in 2011, as well as being a two-time All-Mountain West honoree in 2010 and 2011. On the court, she set New Mexico’s single-season record for digs with 561 (in 2011) as well as the program record for career digs with 1,630. Buck served as a team captain her senior year.

Buck excelled in the classroom and was a four-time Academic All-MW award recipient. She graduated in May 2012 with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education with a focus in social studies.
