Roghaar Signs Sara Brown to NLI
BOISE, Idaho - Boise State women's tennis head coach Beck Roghaar announced today that Sara Brown has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Broncos starting with the 2013-14 season. Brown is a four-star recruit ranked in the top 150 in the nation for her recruiting class and the fourth ranked recruit out of Arizona. 

"Sara is going to be a great addition for our program in 2013," said Roghaar. " We're so excited to see Sara's skills and potential continue to develop here at Boise State. She is a tremendous athlete that possesses all the qualities you could hope in a player and teammate. Sara is definitely not afraid to roll up her sleeves and get to work, and she does a phenomenal job of this on the court as well as in the classroom. She has a very bright future ahead of her as a Bronco."

Brown is currently a senior at Ironwood Ridge High School in Tucson, Ariz., where she plays No. 1 singles and reached the state semifinals in 2012. She helped lead her Ironwood Ridge team to its first ever state championship last year defeating the three-time defending champions. Brown is a two-time Southern Arizona High School All-Star making first-team in singles in 2012 and first-team doubles in 2010. Her doubles team won the 2010 state championship during her freshman year finishing with a record of 19-1 overall and 6-0 in the state tournament. Other honors in high school include being an honors student academically, team captain and winning the IRHS Ironman "deadlift" competition in 2012.  

Brown's junior tennis association honors include being a member of the 2012 Federation Cup Team, USTA G16 Southwest Zonal Team 2009-2010, member of the UTSA Team Tennis National Champion in 2009, USTA G14 Southwest Zonal Team 2008 Champions, 2009 USTA Southern Arizona Tennis Association Junior Female Player of the Year.
