Boise State Women's Tennis Ready for Mountain Regional

Bronco Weekly spoke with coach Beck Roghaar about the season and this week's USTA/ITA Mountain Regional in Albuquerque, N.M.

  • What’s Happening:  Boise State closes out its fall schedule this weekend when they take part in the USTA/ITA Mountain Region Championships Oct. 15-19 at Albuquerque, N.M. There will be nearly 128 student-athletes representing 21 teams from across the region competing for the singles and doubles titles. The winners of each earns a berth into November’s USTA/ITA Indoor Collegiate Championships at Flushing, N.Y.
  • Location: The tournament will be held at two locations in Albuquerque, at the McKinnon Family Tennis Center and the Linda Estes Tennis Complex, both facilities are on the UNM campus by The Pit and the main athletic complex.  
  • Dates: The tournament runs Wednesday through Sunday. The action begins at approximately 8 a.m. (Mountain)each day.
  • Live Scoring: Live scoring is not available for this event. 
  • Boise State is being represented by four members of the squad: Teal Vosburgh, Megan LaLone, Milena Toseva and Arianna Paules Aldrey.
  • Teal Vosburgh: The junior from Katy, Texas, enters the tournament at 8-2 in singles and 6-4 in doubles. 
  • Megan LaLone: The Stanwood, Wash., native has recorded a 10-2 singles record this fall, tied for second on the team, and a 5-5 mark in doubles. 
  • Milena Toseva: The sophomore from Stuttgart, Germany, has gone 8-2 in singles this fall and 3-3 in doubles matches.
  • Arianna Paules Aldrey: The true freshman from Spain is a rising star for the Broncos. This fall she has gone 8-2 in singles competition and 6-5 in doubles.
  • Doubles Teams:
  • Paules Aldrey and Toseva will compete as a team in Albuquerque, N.M., they have a 1-2 mark as a pair this fall. 
  • Vosburgh and LaLone will be the other doubles team. The junior tandem has gone 3-3 in two tournaments this fall.
