BOISE, Idaho - Boise State women's tennis player Elyse Edwards received the Broncos first Western Athletic Conference honor of the fall, Tuesday (Oct. 5), as she was named the Verizon WAC Women's Tennis Player of the Month for September. Edwards, a sophomore from Adelaide, South Australia, compiled a perfect 6-0 singles record in September en route to winning the Crimson singles title at the Washington State Cougar Classic. Edwards won five of six matches in straight sets, including a 6-4, 6-2 win over Ksenia Googe of WSU in the finals. This marks the first WAC regular season honor for Edwards. |
