Broncos Finish Strong at Jack Taylor Open

BOISE, Idaho - Sunday (Oct. 3) marked the third and final day of the 2010 Boise State Jack Taylor Open, which gave the Bronco women's tennis team one last chance to compete in front of the home crowd before hitting the road for the rest of the fall.

Boise State made the most of its home court opportunity, finishing 2-0 in doubles and 2-2 in singles on Sunday. The Broncos conclude the weekend with a 12-7 overall singles record, while also winning six of eight doubles matches.

Senior Stephanie Jasper and sophomore Marlena Pietzuch led the way for the women once again as they each secured a win in singles, while also teaming up to record a win in doubles. In singles, Jasper beat Heather Davidson (Montana), 6-7, 6-2, 6-4, while Pietzuch knocked off Ksenia Googe (Washington State) 6-2, 6-0.
