WHAT’S HAPPENING
The Boise State women’s tennis team will open the fall season by hosting the Boise State Jack Taylor Classic this weekend in the Broncos lone home tournament of the fall semester. The competition will feature 11 teams from throughout the west including: Abilene Christian, Boise State, Eastern Washington, Idaho, Idaho State, Montana, Montana State, Seattle, Utah State, Washington State and Weber State. There will be over 75 collegiate women competing in three singles draws and three doubles draws throughout the weekend at the Appleton Tennis Center at Boise State, Julia Davis Park and Timberline High School.


PARKING INFORMATION
Parking on campus is free for the Jack Taylor Classic and will be located in the following locations
FRIDAY: On Friday spectators are requested to park on the fourth and fifth floors of the Lincoln Garage on the corner of Lincoln and Belmont Streets.
SATURDAY and SUNDAY: Parking will be available in the liberal arts parking lot off of University Drive and just west of the tennis center.


REPRESENTING BOISE STATE IN SINGLES
BLUE FLIGHT SINGLES: Boise State will be represented in the Blue Flight’s 32-person draw by five Broncos: Megan LaLone, Teal Vosburgh, Morgan Basil, Sandy Vo and Sammie Watson. This flight will be played in its entirety at the Appleton Tennis Center starting at 9 a.m. on Friday. Vo is seeded number two in this draw out of four seeded players.

ORANGE FLIGHT SINGLES: The Orange Flight will also feature a 32-person draw with three Broncos participating in it. Boise State’s Bobbi Oshiro is seeded third and will be joined in this draw by Anissa Bryant-Swift and newcomer Sara Brown, a freshman from Tucson, Ariz. The Orange Flight will be held at Julia Davis Park across the river from Boise State on Friday and Saturday with the finals shifting to the Appleton Tennis Center on Sunday.

WHITE FLIGHT SINGLES:  The White Flight will have a 16-person draw and will be played in its entirety Friday through Sunday at Timberline High School off the corner of Boise Avenue and Apple Street. No Broncos will be taking part in this particular draw.


REPRESENTING BOISE STATE IN DOUBLES
BLUE FLIGHT DOUBLES: The Blue Flight doubles draw will feature a 16-team bracket with the Broncos having two teams in the mix. Representing the blue and orange at the Appleton Tennis Center in the afternoon will be Boise State’s top tandem of Sandy Vo and Morgan Basil who have gone 36-15 as a team over the last two years. Joining the senior duo in the Blue Flight are Megan LaLone and Bobbi Oshiro.

ORANGE FLIGHT DOUBLES: The 16-team Orange Flight will feature two Bronco teams in Teal Vosburgh and Sara Brown, as well as the duo of Anissa Bryant-Swift and Sammie Watson. The four will represent the Broncos in the draw at Julia Davis Park starting at 4:30 p.m. Friday.  

WHITE FLIGHT DOUBLES:  The White Flight of doubles will also be played at Timberline High School. No Broncos are participating in this draw.

(NOTE: All times are subject to change depending on the completion of any preceding matches)

At Appleton Tennis Center
Singles:
Megan LaLone at 9 a.m.
Teal Vosburgh at 9 a.m.
Morgan Basil at 10:30 a.m.
Sammie Watson at 12 p.m.
Sandy Vo at 12 p.m.
Times for second matches will depend on the outcome of the first round.

Doubles:
Basil/Vo at 5:30 p.m.
LaLone/Oshiro ar 4:30 p.m.


At Julia Davis Park
Singles:
Anissa Bryant-Swift at 9 a.m.
Bobbi Oshiro at 1:30 p.m.
Sara Brown at 10:30 a.m. (My first pick if you could make only one match)

Doubles:
Vosburgh/Sara Brown at 4:30
Bryant-Swift/Watson have a round of 16 bye and will not play until Saturday at 3 p.m.
