June 16, 2017

TEMPE, Ariz. - Boise State’s Anja Dokic ranked No. 13 in the year-end ITA Mountain Region singles rankings to wrap up her freshman campaign, the highest-ranked freshman in the region. Dokic joins teammate Hanna Kantenwein (2016) as the only Bronco freshmen to earn year-end regional rankings in singles since Boise State was aligned in the Mountain Region in 2010.

Dokic joined the Broncos in January and quickly ascended to the top of the lineup. She finished the season 14-4 in singles, including a 6-2 mark at the No. 1 position. On April 4, Dokic made her debut in the ITA National Rankings at No. 83, the highest ranking for a Bronco since 2010.

The national ranking came on the heels of a top-30 win against Carol Yang of UNLV. Yang was tabbed the No. 1 singles player in the Mountain Region in the year-end rankings.
