Boise State Places Three on All-MW Teams
Klamczynska and Pietzuch twins honored.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Boise State's Sonia Klamczynska, Marlena Pietzuch and Manuela Pietzuch where among those honored Thursday night when the Mountain West released its women's tennis postseason honors in San Diego, Calif. The honorees were selected by ballot of the conference's eight head coaches. Klamczynska and Marlena Pietzuch have been honored for the second season in a row, while this is the first such honor for Manuela Pietzuch.

Sonia Klamczynska was recognized for her singles performance throughout the year competing at the No. 1 position for Boise State this spring. The lone senior for the Broncos went 17-13 overall in singles during the campaign which ended two weeks ago. The native of Warsaw, Poland, finished her Boise State career as a two-time all-confernece honoree in singles and a one-time honoree in doubles. She was named first-team All-Western Athletic Conference in singles and second-team in doubles in 2011. Klamczynska's two-year career totals include going 43-28 in singles and 42-27 in doubles.

Marlena Pietzuch, a junior from Hechingen, Germany, was named all-conference in doubles for the second year in a row. This season she team-up with her twin sister Manuela, who transferred to Boise State this year, to become the first Bronco doubles team honored by the Mountain West after the program completed its first campaign in the conference. The junior duo went 14-10 overall and 11-8 in duals this spring. They also went 5-2 at No. 1 doubles in conference finishing the season as one of the most dominating teams in league play.
