Women's Tennis Closes Regular Season at Utah State

Boise State women's tennis will finish the regular season Saturday, at Utah State. The match is slated for 10 a.m., in Logan, Utah. The Broncos are 9-11 on the year and 2-3 in Mountain West play.
 
Senior Sammie Watson leads the way for the Broncos this spring with a 12-3 record. Bobbi Oshiro is 10-7. Oshiro and Watson are both 4-1 in Mountain West singles matches. The duo plays together in doubles, holding down the top spot for the Broncos.

About Utah State
The Aggies are 12-10 on the season and 1-3 in Mountain West action. Utah State has dropped seven of its last nine matches after breaking into the national rankings at No. 69 last month. McKenzie Davis plays at No. 1 singles for Utah State. Davis entered the spring as thte top-ranked woman in the Mountain Region. She has amassed a combined record of 16-3 in the spring season, including 9-1 in her last 10 outings and 4-0 in MW play.

Boise State Rolls Past Utah State 6-1
Boise State's women's tennis team rolled past Mountain West Conference rival Utah State 6-1 Friday afternoon at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center at Boise.

Last Time Out
Boise State swept College of Idaho in its last match Sunday, to close the home schedule. Ther Broncos swept doubles before going on to win all six singles matches in straight sets. Seniors Sammie Watson and Kaitlyn Brown bookended the singles effort in the final home match of their careers. Watson was the first off after a 6-1, 6-0 win at court two and Brown sealed the sweep with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 6.

MW Championship Ahead
The 2015 Mountain West Women's Tennis Championship will be held April 22-26, in Albuquerque, N.M. The top five seeds receive byes to the quarterinfals, which will take place Friday, April 24. Opening-round matches with the bottom six seeds take place Wednesday, April 22.

Attendance Race Update
Boise State women's tennis ranks No. 5 nationally in total attendance through the first three months of the spring season (January through March). The Broncos have hosted 1,754 fans for an average of 159 per match, which ranks seventh. Boise State ranked third in total attendance in 2014.
