Fort Collins, Colo. | Fort Collins Country Club

THE MATCHES: Boise State women's tennis hits the road for two matches along the Front Range. The Broncos (9-9) will face Wyoming Friday (5 p.m.), before heading to Colorado State Sunday (8 a.m.) for the final road match of the regular season.

ABOUT WYOMING: The Cowgirls (8-10) are led by Magdalena Stencel at the top of the singles lineup. Stencel, a sophomore, also played No. 1 singles last season and clinched a 4-3 win for Wyoming with a dramatic three-set win over Teal Vosburgh. Stencel is 11-6 during the spring season this year.

ABOUT COLORADO STATE: The Rams (5-11) recently snapped a seven-match losing streak with back-to-back wins in the past week. Colorado State knocked off Nebraska-Omaha and Northern Colorado heading into its final three regular-season matches. The Rams will host Utah State Friday, before the facing the Broncos.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT: Boise State women's tennis earned a Public Recognition Award from the NCAA for having a multi-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) score in the top-10 percent of all Division I women's tennis programs in the country. It is the second consecutive year Boise State women's tennis has received the distinction. The APR provides a real-time look at a team’s academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete on scholarship. The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation, providing a measure of each team’s academic performance.

SITE VISIT: The Broncos will play at Colorado State Sunday, the same location as the 2016 Mountain West Women's Tennis Championship later this month. Impending weather conditions have forced the Broncos-Rams match to move indoors to the Fort Collins Country Club, but with any luck Boise State will get to practice at the University Tennis Complex in Fort Collins, Colo., less than two weeks before returning for the conference tournament.

HOME FINALE: Boise State wraps up regular-season play Saturday, April 23, against Utah State at the Appleton Tennis Complex. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m. MT. It will be the final home match for Bronco seniors Megan LaLone, Bobbi Oshiro and Teal Vosburgh. Join the team to honor the trio before the match.
