No. 41 Boise State Women's Tennis Travel to Reno for Final Regular Season Matches
COMING UP:
The Broncos will take to the road for their final regular season meet this weekend in Reno, Nev. The Broncos will take on the University of Denver as well as the University of Nevada at the Galena High School courts in Reno. The Boise State vs. Denver match will be played on Saturday, April 12 at 10 a.m. with their second match against Nevada coming on Sunday, April 13 at 11 a.m.

ABOUT THE BRONCOS:
The Broncos enter the weekend with a 17-4 record, including an ongoing 11 match winning streak. Boise State holds a 2-0 record over Western Athletic Conference foes as well as a 5-2 record against regional foes. They have completed their home season with a perfect 9-0 record and look to improve their neutral site record of 4-0 this weekend against Denver. They also hope to improve on their 4-4 away record with a win over Nevada.

The Broncos hold the No. 41 spot in the rankings, down five from last week. The Broncos will have tough competition ahead with Denver, but have defeated Saint Mary’s this season, only one of two teams the Pioneers have lost to.

BRONCOS’ LAST TIME OUT:
The Broncos earned two solid wins at home last weekend, first downing Portland State 6-1 followed by a perfect 7-0 win over Utah State on senior day. Seniors Stacey Housley, Polina Kokoulina, and Jen Wencel were honored for their hard work and recognized in their final home matches as Broncos.

ABOUT DENVER:
Denver enters the weekend with a No. 27 ranking in the ITA national team rankings. The Pioneers’ Mallory Voelker holds the only singles ranking for the team at No. 73 while she joins Julia Bauregger for the No. 35 doubles spot. The Sun Belt Conference team holds a 16-2 record, including a 2-0 record in their conference. Their most recent match was on April 2 against Colorado State, where they finished with a 7-0 win. Their most recent loss was on March 21 to Fresno State in a 4-3 loss. Their first loss of the season came against Saint Mary’s, falling 4-3.

ABOUT NEVADA:
Nevada holds the No. 65 ranking coming into the weekend while Maria Mizyuk holds the No. 59 singles ranking. Mizyuk joins Caroline Bailly in doubles for the No. 38 ranking. Nevada holds a 7-8 record on the season, including a 2-1 WAC record. Much like Denver, their most recent loss came to Fresno State, falling 6-1. They earned a tough 4-3 win over University of the Pacific on March 30.
