Boise State Seniors Close Out Home Schedule with Win
Boise State's seniors closed out their home careers with a dominating 7-0 victory over the Portland State Vikings Saturday afternoon at the Appleton Tennis Center in Boise.

SCHEDULE CHANGE

  • Boise State women's tennis announced today that the match with Portland State previously scheduled for April 11 has been bumped up to this Monday (March 23) at 10 a.m. (Mountain).

WHAT'S HAPPENING

  • The Boise State women's team will host the Portland State Vikings out of the Big Sky Conference this Monday as a part of a doubleheader with the men's team. The women will start at 10 a.m., followed by the men who are hosting the Cal Poly Mustangs at 4 p.m.
  • Both matches will be held at the Appleton Tennis Center on campus next to Taco Bell Arena.
  • Admission: There is no charge to attend Boise State tennis matches.
  • Parking: There will be one location for free parking on Monday and that will be in the Liberal Arts Parking Lot located to the west of the Appleton Tennis Center.

LAST TIME THEY MET

  • Boise State and Portland State met last year in Boise where the Broncos won 7-0 over the Vikings.
  • Among this year's returners, Boise State earned singles victories by Teal Vosburgh (No. 3), Megan LaLone (No. 4) and Sammie Watson (No. 6), all in straight sets ... the Broncos also swept the doubles matches, however none of those pairs return in 2015.

NEXT UP FOR BOISE STATE

  • The Broncos will remain at home as they continue a three-match homestand during spring break hosting two big Mountain West Conference matches versus the Colorado State Rams on Friday (March 27) at 5 p.m. and the Wyoming Cowgirls on Sunday (March 29) at 10 a.m., both contests are scheduled for the Appleton Tennis Center (weather permitting).

RECENTLY FOR THE BRONCOS

  • Boise State traveled to Seattle, Wash., last week (March 14-15) where the Broncos played two contests going 0-2 on the trip.
  • On March 14 (Saturday), Boise State battled the Portland Pilots (?-?) out of the West Coast Conference hard before being edged 4-3 ... the Broncos recorded singles victories by: Teal Vosburgh on court two 3-6, 7-6(4) 1-0 (10-5), Bobbi Oshiro on court three 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-6) and Sammie Watson on court six 6-4, 6-1.
  • On March 15 (Sunday), the Broncos took on their host the 49th-ranked Washington Huskies falling 7-0 in the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
