Women's Tennis Falls to BYU

BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State women's tennis team (6-5) fell BYU, 5-2 in a dual match at the Appleton Tennis Center, Saturday.

Marlena Pietzuch moved back to the No. 1 position where she is now 2-1 this season after a win against the Cougars' Desiree Tran in three sets. The junior is 9-2 overall this season, the best record of any Bronco.

Sonia Klamczynska emerged victorious at the No. 2 slot in a gutsy, 7-5, 7-6 win. The lone Bronco senior marked the 40th win during her two-year career with the Orange and Blue.

In doubles, Boise State notched one doubles victory by the tandem of Morgan Basil and Sandy Vo. The duo is 8-3 on the season and rides a three-match winning streak.

The Broncos will face UT Arlington at 10 a.m., Sunday. The Mavericks defeated BYU 5-2, Friday.
