Boise State Women's Tennis Travels to Utah

What’s Happening - The Boise State University women’s tennis team will travel to Utah to compete in three dual matches. The first match will be against Utah State University at Logan, Utah, on Feb. 1. The second match will be held at Salt Lake City against Montana State-Billings on Friday, Feb. 2. The final match will take place against the University of Utah on Feb. 3, at Salt Lake City.

The Team- The Boise State University women’s tennis team enters the weekend ranked No. 66 in the nation. This will be the first dual match of the season for the Broncos after competing in competing in tournaments during fall play.

Boise State last competed in the Duck Invitational, which saw Stacey Housley capture the title in the flight two singles and the team of Jana Mackova and Laura Baum capture the doubles title.

The Players - The Broncos will send a full squad to the match which will include Tiffany Coll, Mackova, Baum, Polina Kokoulina, Klaudia Wlodarczyk and Bianca Jochimsen.

Coll returns as the lone senior on a young squad. During the fall she posted a team best winning percentage in the fall (77%) while compiling a 10-3 record in singles. She also posted an 8-3 record in doubles.

Mackova and Baum are ranked 11th in doubles in the central region after the duo combined for an 11-1 record in fall play including winning the doubles competition at the Duck Invitational. The pair also reached the quarterfinals of the ITA Central Region Championship.

In her first season with Boise State, Kokoulina compiled a 5-5 record in singles and advanced to the finals of the doubles competition of the BYU Invitational.

Jochimsen advanced to the finals of the flight one singles a the Duck Invitational. Posted eight-straight singles wins en route to posting 12 wins during the fall.

In doubles at Utah State, Mackova will pair with Baum, Kokoulina with Wlodarczyk, and Jochimsen with Coll.
