THE MATCH: Boise State women’s tennis opens its 2016 spring schedule with a home match against Weber State Saturday, at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center. 

MATCH DAY INFO: Admission and parking are free at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center, which is located at 1507 S Oakland Ave.

ABOUT THE BRONCOS: Boise State has a veteran group led by three seniors, including Teal Vosburgh who played 15 matches on court one last spring. Vosburgh has spent her entire career in the top half of Boise State’s singles lineup and was an All-Mountain West singles selection last season. Bobbi Oshiro was named All-MW in doubles last year and is back for her senior season. Megan LaLone returns after playing all over the Bronco lineup last season. LaLone was an All-MW doubles honoree as a sophomore in 2014.

ABOUT THE WILDCATS: Weber State is also kicking off its 2016 spring season Saturday. The Wildcats are a veteran squad with four seniors on its eight-member roster, including Agata Bachanek who has played exclusively at No. 1 singles each of the last two seasons.

FALL REVIEW: Boise State women’s tennis enjoyed a successful fall season, including winning all three titles at the Jack Taylor Classic in Boise. The Broncos posted a combined 26-9 record at the Jack Taylor, with six losses coming at the hands of fellow Broncos. Bobbi Oshiro and Nancy Menjivar won singles titles, while Arianna Paules Aldrey and Megan LaLone took the doubles crown. Teal Vosburgh competed at the ITA All-American Championships, becoming Boise State’s first representative at the tournament since 2010. Vosburgh also advanced to the round of 16 at the USTA/ITA Mountain Region Championship.
