BOISE, Idaho - The first 2014 Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings have been released and a trio of Broncos are among those ranked regionally. Representing Boise State in the ITA Mountain Region rankings are sophomore Teal Vosburgh, as well as seniors Sandy Vo and Morgan Basil. Vosburgh is ranked 15th in singles while Vo is tied for 18th. The doubles team of Vo and Basil enters January ranked as the No. 10 team.

“It’s great to see three of our players earning ITA Mountain Region rankings as it’s no easy feat to accomplish,” siad head coach Beck Roghaar. “There are over 20 division one programs in our region that include very talented teams from the Mountain West, PAC 12, WAC, and Big Sky conferences, and having Boise State women’s tennis so strongly represented on this list definitely speaks to the level of dedication and hard work Teal, Sandy, Morgan and all of our young ladies have been putting in each and every day. It’s going to be an exciting season for all of us, and we’re chomping at the bit to get out there and compete in a few weeks.”

Teal Vosburgh, a sophomore from Katy, Texas, enters the spring team season ranked the highest at 15th in singles. She went 10-3 during the fall season including a championship appearance at the Washington State Cougar Classic and a round of 16 match at the ITA Mountain Regional in Las Vegas.

Sandy Vo battled to a 6-3 singles record this past fall to enter the spring season ranked tied for 18th in the region. The senior from Melbourne, Australia, reached the semifinals at the Washington State Cougar Classic and the round of 32 at the Mountain Regional in October.

Vo and fellow senior Morgan Basil, from St. Petersburg, Fla., start 2014 ranked tied for 10th in the ITA Mountain Region as a doubles team following a 5-2 fall campaign. The senior duo teamed up to win the Jack Taylor Classic in Boise to open the season in September before an injury slowed Basil in October.

Boise State opens the 2014 team season the weekend of January 24-25 in Colorado where they will face the University of Colorado and University of Northern Colorado.
