Boise State Wraps Up Regional Tournament

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Boise State's women's tennis team wrapped up its USTA/ITA Mountain Regional competition Saturday in Las Vegas, Nev. The day saw all of the remaining Broncos fall in their consolation matches. The doubles team of Megan LaLone and Bobbi Oshiro lost its match in a tight 8-7 contest to New Mexico State's Brittany Collens and Mia Brandt.

In the singles consolation draw Boise State's LaLone fell in straight sets to Brittany Collens of NMSU 6-4, 6-2, while freshman Sara Brown was defeated by Wyoming's Alena Vasileva. This is the final tournament of the fall season for the Boise State women's team as they now turn their focus to classroom work and the team season which starts in January.

In additional matches that were picked up Boise State's Morgan Basil lost 6-0, 6-2 to Morgan Anderson from BYU. Bobbi Oshiro took on Toby Miclat, who is also from BYU, falling in a tie break 3-6, 7-5, 10-6. Senior Anissa Bryant-Swift also had a pick-up match defeating Denver's Michelle Garpenlov 6-1, 6-2. In a pick-up match on Friday the Broncos' Sara Brown lost in a tie break to Montana State's Wena Tsan 6-7, 6-1, 10-8.
