Nosek Leads at Bulldog Invitational

SPOKANE, Wash. - Wiktoria Nosek won in three sets during singles play to lead Boise State’s two-women contingent at the Gonzaga Bulldogs Invitational on Friday in Spokane, Wash.

Nosek went three sets against Gonzaga’s Domonique Garley to win 6-1, 6-7(1), 6-2 in the blue flight’s quarterfinals. The victory moves her into Saturday’s semifinal round against Allisandra Valk from Portland State.

Jovana Kuljanin fell 6-3, 6-0 in her white flight quarterfinal contest against Seattle’s Kyra Jung. Kuljanin will move on into the consolation semifinal round on Saturday when she will face Eastern Washington’s Valentina Sottile.

Nosek and Kuljanin also teamed up for doubles action on Friday taking on a duo from Eastern Washington in the quarterfinal round. The Boise State tandem fell to the Eagles’ team of Janaya Smith and Rylee Braeden 6-0. The Broncos will play in Saturday’s consolation semifinal versus Portland State’s Brianna Thompson and Eszter Zador.
