Sept. 27, 2013

PULLMAN, Wash. - The Boise State women's tennis team went 15-5 in its matches at the Washington State Cougar Classic Friday, with four individuals and three doubles teams advancing to quarterfinal matches.

"It was a very solid day for us, and we are gearing up for more good matches tomorrow," head coach Beck Roghaar said. "On days like today, where you have rain delays and cool and windy conditions, it was great to see our team show such great resolve and toughness in competing the way we did.

"We're making such good progress in each area that we've been focusing on, both individually and as a team, and seeing the progress is fueling our fire even more. It's been a lot of fun so far, and we're looking for more tomorrow."

In the Crimson Singles Bracket, senior Sandy Vo and sophomore Teal Vosburgh each advanced to the quarterfinals in similar fashion, advancing to the second round when their opening-round opponents withdrew.
