FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Boise State dominated Colorado State 6-1 in the Broncos regular season finale at Fort Collins, Colo., Sunday afternoon. Leading the way were Boise State’s three seniors Morgan Basil, Anissa Bryant-Swift and Sandy Vo who all recorded doubles and singles victories in the Mountain West Conference win. The Broncos will head to the conference tournament April 23-27 in Fresno, Calif., with a 13-9 overall record and 4-3 league mark.

“It was great to finish out our regular season on such a positive note with a good win over CSU today,” said head coach Beck Roghaar. “We’ve accomplished some really great things this year as a group and made tremendous progress and growth along the way. We’re excited and ready to head out to the conference championships on the next part of our journey this season.”

The day opened with the Broncos sweeping all three doubles matches starting with Vo and Megan LaLone’s 8-5 victory over Lauren Pick and Kaley Schultz on court one. Since being paired up at No. 1 doubles the duo has gone 6-2 this spring in duals.

The doubles finished in order one, two, three. Bryant-Swift and Teal Vosburgh clinched the team point with a steady 8-4 victory on court two against the Rams’ Maddie Buxton and Adriana Wojakowska to improve to 6-3 as a doubles team.

The final doubles match also went to the Blue and Orange on court three where Basil and Sammie Watson dispatched CSU’s Mollie Cooper and Celine Voss 8-3. The tandem finished the regular season at 8-3 in duals.

Boise State took its 1-0 team lead into singles and quickly expanded it to 4-0 before the Rams got on the scoreboard. Vo was the first to finish recording a dominating win at No. 1 singles over Wojakowska 6-1, 6-0. The senior from Melbourne, Australia, finished the regular season at 19-8 overall and 14-5 on court one in duals this semester.

LaLone followed Vo off the court with a equally dominating win at No. 4 singles. The sophomore handed the Rams’ Buxton a straight-set defeat 6-1, 6-1 to improve to 21-11 overall and 13-8 this spring. LaLone and Vo both went undefeated in singles this weekend (2-0).

Bryant-Swift’s No. 2 singles victory clinched the match for Boise State. The senior tallied a two-set win over CSU’s Pick by 6-4, 6-3 scores to move to 19-12 on the year in singles.
