SEATTLE, Wash. - Boise State women's tennis came up short on the road Saturday afternoon falling 4-3 to the Portland Pilots in Seattle, Wash. After dropping the doubles team point, the Broncos split the six singles contests earning victories from Sammie Watson, Teal Vosburgh and Bobbi Oshiro. The loss drops Boise State to 5-8 overall and still looking for its first road win when the Broncos face their host 49th-ranked Washington Sunday afternoon.

The match opened with the Pilots claiming the team doubles point with wins on courts one and three. Boise State's duo of Arianna Paules Aldrey and Megan LaLone were leading their match in a tiebreaker 6-6 (6-4) when the contest was abandoned following the clinching of the team point.

Watson was the first Bronco to record her victory in singles tallying a straight set 6-4, 6-1 win on court six over Portland's Tori Troesch. The junior from Washington is now a team-best 18-2 in singles this year and 7-1 in spring duals.

Oshiro rallied from one set down to win a third set 10-point tiebreaker on court three over Jelena Lazarevic 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-6). She is now 17-6 on the year in singles and 7-4 during duals this semester.

The final Boise State win came on court two where Vosburgh also rallied after dropping the first set to win in a third set 10-point tiebreaker. The junior from Texas put away Portland's Maja Mladenovic in a tough match by the score of 3-6, 7-6 (4), 1-0 (10-5). Vosburgh improved to 17-10 overall in singles this year.
