BOISE, Idaho - Boise State made a mid-match run, but fell short against BYU 4-3. The Broncos lost the last two singles matches in ten-point tiebreakers after winning the previous three singles matches that also ended in ten-point tiebreakers. Sandy Vo rallied from one set down to win her No. 1 singles match to give the Broncos a brief 3-2 lead. 

BYU earned the first point of the day by winning two out of the three doubles matches. Sandy Vo and Morgan Basil won their match on court one 6-3 to give the Broncos an early doubles lead. Just seconds after the No. 1's finished, the Cougars evened the score when the No. 2 doubles team of Milena Toseva and Anissa Bryant-Swift dropped their match 6-3.

The Cougars clinched the point when Megan LaLone and Teal Vosburgh were bested on court 3 by a score of 6-3. The Broncos had not dropped a doubles point since Jan. 25 against Colorado.

BYU built its lead to 2-0 when Milena Toseva lost the first singles match 6-1, 6-0 to BYU's Nicolette Tran on court 3.

Boise State began chipping away at the lead once Teal Vosburgh earned the first Bronco point in winning the No. 2 singles match 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (7). The Broncos tied the match 2-2 when Anissa Bryant-Swift gutted out another ten-point tiebreaker victory in defeating Desiree Tran 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (8).

After Sandy Vo defeated Mayci Jones 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 (6) in another tight match on court one, the Broncos took their first lead of the day and made the score 3-2.

The Bronco lead was short lived after BYU's Toby Miclat defeated Morgan Basil 6-7 (3), 6-2, 1-0 (7) on court five to knot the score at 3-3.

BYU clinched the match at No. 6 singles when Megan LaLone dropped another intense match 6-0, 2-6, 1-0 (4) to the Cougars' Savannah Ware.

The loss drops Boise State to 4-1 and improves BYU to 1-2 on the season. The Broncos' next home match is next Saturday against Utah at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center.
