BOISE, Idaho-The Boise State women's swimming and diving team will compete at the Hawkeye Invitational on Dec. 6-8 in Iowa City, Iowa. The Broncos will compete against host Iowa, along with Denver, Milwaukee, Nebraska, Notre Dame and Washington State. This will be Boise State's first appearance at the invitational. The competition will be prelims/final format. The prelims will begin at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Sunday's finals will begin at 4 p.m.

About the Broncos
Head coach Kristin Hill enters the 2013-14 season with a strong senior class of five, including 2013 Mountain West champion Rachel Heaney (200-yard butterfly). Heaney also competed at the 2013 NCAA Championships in the 200 butterfly. After opening the season at home against Idaho, Boise State will return Jan. 25 against for its next home meet against Denver at 1 p.m. (MT).

Familiar Foes
Along with Boise State, the Hawkeye Invitational will host Denver, Iowa, Milwaukee, Nebraska, Notre Dame and Washington State this weekend. Boise State will host Denver in a dual meet on Jan. 25 at the Boise West YMCA.

Last Time Out
The Broncos are returning to competition after competing against Arizona in a dual meet in Tucson, Ariz. The divers also competed in the Wildcat Diving Invitational in Tucson. Boise State won four individual events in the match-up. Brittany Aoyama won the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events, and Felicity Cann won the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events.

Races to Watch
200 Freestyle-Cann won this race in Boise State's last competition against Arizona in 1:51.08.

100 Backstroke- Jessica Bottelberghe leads the Broncos with a season-best time of 56.48.

200 Free Relay-Boise State's relay of Bottelberghe, Sam Wicks, Aoyama and Devin Madsen narrowly missed the win against Arizona. The Broncos touched in with a time of 1:35.09, and the Wildcats finished in 1:34.96.
