Myers Makes it Boise State

BOISE, Idaho- Boise State swimming and diving Head Coach Kristin Hill announced, Friday, Megan Myers of Broken Arrow, Okla., signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Broncos. Myers, currently a senior at Union High School, specializes in the freestyle and individual medley.
"Megan is coming off a really strong summer," Hill said. "She hasn't rested short-course yards for almost two years, so her times are a little misleading. She knows this is a place she can improve, and it will be great to have her here."
Myers is a four-time state champion and holder of three individual school records at Union, in addition to every relay record. As a sophomore she picked up a state title in the 500-yard freestyle and repeated the accomplishment as a junior. She also won the 200-yard IM and 200-yard medley relay in 2010, guiding Union to a second place finish at the state meet. Myers is coached at Union by David Lynn. She is currently the team co-captain.
Also coached by Lynn as a member of Tulsa Swim, Myers has excelled in the distance events. She holds personal bests in the 1000-yard freestyle and 1650-yard freestyle that would each be good enough to put her name on the top-10 list at Boise State.
"When I looked back on all my visits I realized that Boise State was the one place I could actually see myself being a student-athlete," Myers said. "I loved the girls, the coaches and the school itself."Personal Bests
