Broncos Bring in Breanna Hemming
Ponderosa High School
BOISE, Idaho- Boise State swimming and diving Head Coach Kristin Hill announced, Monday, Breanna Hemming of Kiowa, Colo., signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Broncos. Hemming, currently a senior at Ponderosa High School, is a diver.
"She's a very hard-working girl who is eager to learn," said head diving coach David Legler. "She's very competitive. She has high goals and wants to come in and help grow the diving program."
Hemming is a four-year letterwinner at Ponderosa High School, where she is coached by Altron Urban. She has placed at the state meet each of her first three seasons, and is set to challenge for the championship this season. As a freshman in 2008, Hemming finished 16th at state. She improved to 11th as a sophomore and finished fifth last season. This year she has posted the second-highest score in Colorado. Hemming is a two-year diving captain at Ponderosa.

Also a four-year letterwinner in swimming and cross country, Hemming is heavily involved in triathlons. She is a three-year captain of her club triathlon team. Along with competing in them at a high level, Hemming has volunteered in putting on local triathlons for the past three years.
Hemming carries a 4.0 GPA, and is in the top 50 of her class.
Outside of school, Hemming devotes her time to various organizations in her community. She helps in elementary classrooms and teaches children with disabilities to swim, among other ventures.
"I chose Boise State because it's such a positive environment for learning and athletics," Hemming said. "Boise seems like an incredible place to study and compete, surrounded by people who are very goal-oriented and are reaching toward their dreams."Personal Bests
