BOISE, Idaho -- Junior swimmer Brittany Aoyama, named's Division I Women's National Swimmer of the Week earlier Tuesday, added the Mountain West Swimmer of the Week honor to her ledger.

The Mountain West honor is the first of the season for Aoyama and Boise State, and the sixth of her career.

The Stockton, Calif. native enjoyed a solid week over two road meets during Halloween weekend, capturing seven of the eight events she entered, including four individual victories. Boise State went 2-1 over the weekend, splitting a tri-meet in Salt Lake City Friday with a win over host Utah and falling to Florida Gulf Coast before bouncing back to defeat BYU Saturday in Provo.

Facing Utah and Florida Gulf Coast Friday in Salt Lake City, Aoyama picked up three victories in four events. She was part of both of Boise State's victorious relays: the 200 medley relay that clocked a 1:42.82, and the 400 free relay that touched the pad in 3:26.15. Both times were Mountain West bests and in the top 30 nationally.

The relay wins, which bookended the meet, also sandwiched a victory in her signature event, the 100 fly. Aoyama captured that race in 55.40, nearly six-tenths of a second faster than the rest of the field. Her pursuit of a perfect night was derailed only by a second-place finish in the 50 free, in which she clocked a 23.95, just 0.08 of a second behind Katie Latham from Florida Gulf Coast.

The next day, Aoyama did get that perfect record, going 4-for-4 with three individual wins at BYU. She repeated her Friday-night feat in winning the 100 fly, bettering her previous best time to 55.13 (altitude-adjusted), and completed the sweep of the butterfly events when she won the 200 in 2:03.83 (altitude-adjusted).

She was victorious in the 100 free with an altitude-adjusted time of 51.63, while her fourth win came in the meet's first event, the 200 medley relay.
