The meet starts with 3-meter diving at 11 a.m. and runs until all events are completed.

The Broncos are 11-6 in season openers and have won the last eight duals against Idaho. Boise State beat the Vandals 164-128 last year at Moscow. The last time they met the blue and orange was led by four Broncos, Monica Bottelberghe, Felicity Cann, Emma Chard and Ally Kleinsorgen who record three wins apiece.

Boise State returns 15 letterwinners from last season’s Mountain West Championship squad. Among those returning is two-time NCAA Championships participant senior Emma Chard. Last year at the NCAAs she competed in the 200 free, 500 free, 1,650 free. Chard is also the two-time defending Mountain West 200 Freestyle Champion and was part of last year’s winning 400 free and 800 free relays in addition to finishing second in both the 500 and 1,650 frees.

Also back are Senior Emily Mathis who set the school record for 200 breast (2:12.35) at the MW Championships last winter and Ally Kleinsorgen who is the defending MW 100 backstroke champion.

Boise State returns a large portion of its relay teams with six of the nine members back from a squad that swept all five titles at last year’s MW Championships including: Emma Chard, Cody Evans, Ally Kleinsorgen, Robin Pinger, Abbey Sorensen and Laura Williams.

In diving, the Broncos return two led by junior Cassidy Bose who made history last spring by becoming the first diver from Boise State to ever qualify for the NCAA Championships. Also returning is Taylor Hosein.

Boise State welcomes 11 freshmen to the Bronco family: Lydiah Almeter, Cassie Barkhorn, Taylor Clark, Lucia Davis, Madison Frederick, Hayley Hill, Molly Hogg, Lauren Sale, Emma Segneri, Tatum Thompkins and Brittany Wen. They will all make their Bronco debut this weekend.

Third-year head coach Jeremy Kipp, the 2017 MW Coach of the Year, returns as does his entire coaching staff of Meghan Hawthorne and head diving coach Brandon Blaisdell. In addition, they have added volunteer coach Lee Nevala who comes to Boise State from Assumption College.
