As high as the team goals are for this season, in no one area are they higher than in the relays. Coming off a dominating performance at the WAC Championships, Hill and the rest of the coaching staff are raising the bar for the Boise State relay teams this season. The Broncos won their first conference relay title in the 800 free relay, and added two more (400 medley relay and 400 free relay) before the championships ended. Now with competition heating up within the team, and more swimmers eyeing those coveted relay spots, the times are sure to be lowered. That optimism has Hill thinking sweep.
Coach Hill's Take: "Relays are definitely a strength of ours. We won three of the five relays last year at conference, and of course we will go for all five of them this season. Obviously there will be some tight races, and it's far from a sure thing, but it's definitely something we would like to see happen. If we can win four relays at the conference meet this year that would be spectacular, but that goal of five will be something fun to challenge ourselves with throughout the season."
